Pastels: Essential Portrait Painting Techniques

a ‘pop’ular portrait lesson! 1. take a photo (i opted for a square photo) 2. transfer your image using a graphite transfer (rub the back of your photo with graphite and trace the image on to a blank sheet of paper) 3. outline in sharpie & erase pencil lines 4. add @crayola marker ben-day dots for skin 5. color the rest of your portrait using primary colors 6. create your background using a bubble wrap print transfer 7. use #truray construction paper to create a cloud shape & triangles to collage
